We believe education, early psychosis interventions, and innovation can bend the arc of a life tortured by psychosis and schizophrenia toward re-integration and recovery.

Our Mission

Our Story

The PAND Foundation is a not-for-profit organization committed to expanding access to Coordinated Specialty Care Plus and Early Psychosis Intervention. Established in 2024, our board is composed of professionals specializing in schizophrenia treatment, family members personally affected by the illness, and experts providing financial and legal stewardship.

Our Board Members

Rachael Simonoff Wexler

Rachael is a dedicated community leader and with a heart for service. Rachael’s journey with the PAND Foundation is fueled by her first-hand knowledge that stigma results in undiagnosed and untreated psychosis and schizophrenia. Rachael is driven by a simple belief: that community integration is possible for people with schizophrenia if education and interventions are accessible. Rachael’s passion for education and intervention stems from her own experiences seeing younger teens as well as colleagues be derailed by cannabis-induced psychosis. You can find Rachael walking her two dogs throughout LA or learning to play pickle ball.

Dr. Eric Michael Wexler

Eric is a board-certified physician and scientist who specializes in the diagnosis and pharmacologic management of psychiatric illnesses, with a specialty in treating patients living with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Dr. Wexler operates a private psychiatry practice in Santa Monica, California, and his participation in the PAND Foundation is the result of his realization that individuals and families are typically unaware of the hope provided by evidence-based early psychosis interventions. Eric is looking forward to advancing our mission by engaging in public discussions about how treatment can be made better and more accessible.

Krystyl Wright

Ms. Wright is a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong commitment to clinical outreach and community development. With a solid academic foundation, having earned her degree in Sociology from Humboldt State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, Krystyl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to raising awareness about mental health issues and reducing stigma, ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to the resources that are supported by statistical data to guide best practices.

Tommy Moreno

Tommy co-founded Pareto Labs, an online education platform teaching practical business skills. Tommy is a strong community leader and has a vision for the PAND Foundation that uses his digital media and education expertise to develop programming that reaches professionals, individuals without access to specialty care, and their families. He spent over 25 years as a senior executive at The Walt Disney Company and an operator turning around struggling private equity-backed companies. Tommy brings to the PAND Foundation deep connections to large businesses with a demonstrated desire to have a legacy of positive community impact. Tommy loves rock music, and when he is not traveling, you can find him hanging out with his family.
